CRTL railway tunnel in London, Great Britain

MSD received an order from our cooperation partner Techni Metal Systemes to produced, deliver and install two mortar carriers with running gear and worm conveyor for the CTRL Thames Tunnel London project.

These vehicles were delivered in 2004 and are used to transport concrete within the tunnel; each is equipped as follows:
  • Vehicle baseframe
  • Mortar carrier with mixer shaft, 11 m³
  • Worm conveyor for concrete discharge with a conveying capacity of 60 m³ per hour
  • Hydraulic motors for driving the mixer shaft and worm conveyor

The concrete with a particle size up to 30 mm is pumped with a working pressure of 350 bar and a flow rate of up to 200 litres per minute.
