Roofing platform in Rostock, Germany

The basic design of the work platform consists of a gantry frame with work platforms integrated within it.

Holders are provided at both end faces for hooking in an end work platform. The end work platform is hooked in and out as necessary by the owner/operator.

All accessible rear and side areas equipped with fixed railings. Areas facing the train side equipped with removable aluminium push-fit railings. The accessible areas of the roofing platforms are made from aluminium stud plate, the thickness and material according to the structural design.

The adjustable height lifting platform and platform railings are made from aluminium. The vertical telescopic movement of the work platform is achieved by means of a manual crank mechanism operated from the work platform.

The work platform is vertically guided by means of rollers which run virtually free of play on vertically arranged sections. There are mechanical end stops for the lifting movement.

The power supply to the roofing platform is provided by means of a trailing cable system. The power is supplied while the platform is in the parked position.

Appropriate limit switches are provided to monitor the drawer position (zero gap cover). On reaching the end positions the brakes of the roofing platform can be released and it can be traversed.
